- 4 fresh salmon fillets skin-on or skinless, about 6 oz each
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp honey
- 3 tbsp soy sauce or tamari
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
- 1 lemon for serving
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped, for garnish
Pat salmon fillets dry and whisk together olive oil, honey, soy sauce, garlic, and Dijon mustard for the glaze.
Brush the glaze generously over each salmon fillet.
Preheat the air fryer to 400°F and place salmon skin-side down in a single layer with space between pieces.
Air fry for 7-9 minutes, checking internal temperature as you approach the lower end of the range.
Remove once the salmon reaches 125-130°F internally and let rest for 3-5 minutes.
Garnish with fresh lemon juice and chopped parsley before serving.
- Pull the salmon at 125-130°F internal temperature; carryover cooking during the rest will finish the job without drying it out.
- Never overcrowd the air fryer basket, since this traps steam and prevents the glaze from properly caramelizing.
- The white substance that sometimes appears on cooked salmon is albumin, a harmless protein, and staying within the target temperature range minimizes it.
