Cuisine American
- 2 shots freshly brewed espresso or 1/2 cup very strong coffee
- 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
- 2 tbsp water
- 1/4 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup barista-blend oat milk
- Ice cubes as needed
Simmer brown sugar and water until dissolved, then stir in cinnamon and vanilla, cooking until slightly thickened.
Brew espresso shots and pour immediately into a shaker filled with ice and the brown sugar syrup.
Shake vigorously for at least 15 seconds until well chilled.
Fill a tall glass with fresh ice and strain the shaken espresso over the top.
Slowly pour barista-blend oat milk over the back of a spoon for a layered cascade.
Stir gently or enjoy as-is, and serve immediately.
- Shake for at least 15 seconds to build good foam and chill the espresso properly without over-diluting it.
- Always pour the milk over the back of a spoon for the perfect layered, gradient look.
- Use barista-blend oat milk specifically, since standard oat milk can curdle against hot, acidic espresso.
